There was a contest in building a miniature prototype of space elevator. The idea of the space elevator is a cargo that carries passengers traveling up and down 60,000 miles. The idea came from science fiction novel written by Arthur C.Clarke “The fountains of Paradise” I even learned about the space elevator in Grade 9 science class. In Grade 9 Science textbook, it mentions the space elevator as a possible future transportation to the outer space. The winner of this contest received $900,000. Now my blog post is not going to talk about the contest at all. This post is going to be about the space elevator itself.

Space Elevator is not going to be possible and will only exist in our imaginations. Space elevator is too expensive to be built, it will constantly have issues with space junk orbiting our Earth, and no one knows what is going to happen if a part of the elevator is in contact with zero gravity atmosphere while one end is touching the Earth in the environment where the gravity exists.

We do not have enough money nor resources to build the gigantic 60,000 miles long elevator. Even if we do, why would our government bother spending such money, time, and resources to build the space elevator, not on something else?

Space junks, orbiting around Earth, is already causing a serious problem to us. It causes a serious damage to our satellites. If the space elevator is built, it will constantly get hit by space junks. As a result, the elevator will constantly need maintenance and will need to be fixed.

What exactly do you think is going to happen to the elevator if one end is connected to zero gravity atmosphere while the other end is touching Earth where the gravity exists? The whole elevator might collapse. Also the space is basically a huge vacume. If we have a tunnel (elevator) going straight into the space, who knows what might happen?

I am Christian. I believe in God and I believe in Jesus Christ. I just want to say that the following article that I am about to post IS NOT my belief and it will never be.

Everything in our world is made out of atoms. Atom is build up by a nucleus formed with protons and neutrons that are being orbited by numerous electrons. Now look at our solar system. We have a sun in our solar system. Around it, we have planets that are constantly orbiting around it. The sun on the other hand, is part of milkyway galaxy. Our solar system is constantly orbiting around the core of the galaxy. Do you see where I’m getting at?

Now here is the thing. What if we are just part of a giant organism that we even aware of? What if to them, we are just a tiny atoms. Don’t you think it is possible? If you give it a bit of twist, you might come to a conclusion that the atom is actually formed with uncountable number of micromicky organisms. I mean there is definitely a pattern here. It just gets bigger and bigger. This is far beyond human’s comprehension.

The real question is if that organism dies, what is going to happen to us? Will we die at the same time? Is that the day when our world falls into pieces? Is that our Armageddon? Well of course my opinion is totally a nonsense but I mean it is completely possible. Look at this pattern! Atom < Earth < Solar System < Galaxy < Who knows what.

We all know the power of atomic bomb. By simply disrupting our atom, we can cause a serious destruction. I think the power of this bomb comes from all the micromicky organism’s death. We have the power to kill all those organisms in our atom. Think about it.

Well, Its this time of the year. ITS CHRISTMAS! …. no but seriously…It is this time of the year, where all the students get on their school shoes and… GO BACK TO SCHOOL… FML

So I guess it is kind of like a cliche to ask to myself “What is the point of going to school?” or “Life is not just about studying, it is about enjoying every moment of your life” but man… I really hate this time of the year… I did nothing during this summer break and now, I’m about to be tortured to the maximum. This year, I am taking Bio 10 AP, Chemistry 10, English 10 AP, and I am restarting Spanish. (I quit French). Also, I finished grade 12 math. So… This grade 10 year is going to be quite an interesting year. I am not trying to be a hypocrite here, but I just have a feeling that I MIGHT actually like the school this year. I mean… It is grade 10. All the stuff that I do from now on will actually count. (Warning. Another cliche coming out) “I am actually going to work harder than ever this time”. I think I am ready for change. I think I am ready to face the challenge

So here is my plan for grade 10. Just gonna do my best some how. Urgh time is going by so fast. Soon I will be grade 11, and soon, I will be grade 12!!!! AWOEIFAEIWORAEWOIRAE Then I will go to a university, get a job, Get married, Make… babies… then I will FINALLY get to enjoy my life… aofijaewoir urgh… life seems too long yet too short. anyways, that is my rant for today. cheers

This is the song written by Muse. The song has the same lyrics as Hyper Chondriac Music. If I were to describe the song “Hyper Music”, it is literally “hyper” Muse is an English band, Best known for their live performance. Their live performances are far beyond amazing. They are always full of energy.

The song has a deep meening behind it. Some people say that it’s about a religion. But I disagree. Well it COULD be interepted to a religion. There was a huge debate over the meaning at www.songmeanings.com but here is what I think it means

Generally I think it’s about a guy (matthew bellamy) who is sick and tired of a girl and wants to move on. so the first verse, he describes his current feelings about how he is sick about all the lies and how he is being controlled by her. So now on the chorus, he is really angry and yells at her saying that he doesnt like her. Basically the whole song is about him getting angry at his girlfriend.

The song has so much emotion. I think I might do a cover for this as a tribute to muse.

Today was my brother, Eugene’s graduation. Now that I think of it, it is hard to believe that Eugene is already in the University. Time goes fast real quick. And time is running out.

Well Eugene’s graduation wasn’t the only thing that happened today. The king of pop singer Michael Jackson died, and Farah Fawcett. I respect both of these people. However, my family’s issue is more important, so I decided to talk about Eugene.

Eugene. Born in April 26, 1990. He is my older brother. We look nothing alike. He is very tall, I’m i guess a bit taller than average people. Eugene’s hair is short, my hair is a bit long, he is humorous, I’m… serious? XD it rhymes hahaha. Everyone who we met didn’t know that Eug and I were brothers untill we actually told them.

We have shared rooms together untill I became grade 4. Then we moved to a condominium called “tower palace” funny thing is, we had this room where there was a path that was only connected between Eugene and I. So once in a while, at night, we would meet each other in that path and just chill there. Good times… I miss those days. Those were the days where I had virgin eyes, virgin ears, and I was just an innocent little child, who never faced any challenges that were against me.

Then as I turned to grade 5, I came to Canada. Faced numerous barriers, did my best to overcome it. Eug and I both did our best to overcome them together. Eug reached his “teenager moment”. He began to annoy me and tease me. I got pissed once in a while,

We came to Collingwood when I became grade 6. Ever since I came to collingwood, I became more mature person, and I began to do my best to find out the meaning of life. In our school, we always have an annual speech contest. Eug made an amazing speech and became one of the finalists. His speech was sooo hilarious that he became famous in our school XD I am proud to be his brother. Eventually, he became one of the student exectuvies. However, he didn’t become the headboy, although most of the people in our school actually wanted him to become one.

Now I’m about to turn grade 10 and Eugene is graduating. I’m sure there are tons of people in our school who will miss Eugene. He has certainly left a huge impact in Collingwood. Our school is definately going to feel empty without him. His graduation is going to change everything in our community. Him leaving for chicago is definately going to impact my family. I am certainly going to miss him.

OCTAHEDRON! IT’S OUT! It was out yesterday, but I got it today but. MY GOD ITS AMAZING. I gotta tell you, it really is different than the previous albums in a good way. I fell in love with it instantly. Here are the track lists: Since We’ve Been Wrong, Teflon, Halo of Nembutals, With Twilight As My Guide, Cotopaxi, Desperate Graves, Copernicus, Luciforms. The album is plastic, so a bit of disappointment to paper album lovers. but the album work is amazing. Oh and when you cut out the outside wrap, make sure that you take out the sticker that it comes with it. (I attatched it to my guitar :D )

The album opens up with a very strong emotional track “Since We’ve Been Wrong” It will definately grab your attention for sure. Anyways maybe I shouldn’t say more since I might be sued or something XD

Anyways let me tell you. You will absolutely love the album so enjoy!

As I lived, I learned numerous valuable lessons. What really hit me was, “Carpe Diem” from the book “The Dead Poet’s Society”. Carpe Diem means “Seize the day”, meaning that we should make the best out of today, and live like there’s no tomorrow. However, what really questioned me was. How do you actually “seize the day” successfully?

If you ask a  kindergartner about what they want to do before they die, they will say “I wanna ride a pony”. If you ask a teenager, they will say “I don’t wanna die in virgin”. If you ask an adult, they will say “I want to have a family”. If you ask a senior, they will say “I want to see my grandson grow up”. Then I began to think about something. Will it really matter at the end?

Randy Pausch has taught me numerous valuable lessons as well. He was the one who actually literally INFLUENCED people to follow their childhood dreams before they die. We all have our childhood dreams. Let’s face the truth. We won’t have enough time to do all of them. So what should we do? How can we end our life successfully?

Well here is the thing. I’m just an ordinary teenager. I have never faced the death, and I really don’t want to die.  But I know one thing for sure. I think I know how to win at life. What should you be doing? What you SHOULD be doing right know is to find something that will last in your memory for a long time. Not a short pleasure, but any stuff that will last at least 10 years in your head. Think about it. And accomplish it. You won’t regret it.

Today, I decided to write about twilight. The way twilight was introduced to me was, as some of you know, my cellphone ringtone is “supermassive black hole – muse” Muse is my favorite band. I wanted to express my music taste to others by sharing my ringtone. Oh and I also made a guitar cover for the song!

Anyways, for some reason, everytime somebody hears to my ringtone, they go “OMG TWILIGHT OMG OMG “. At first, I didn’t even know what the twilight was. Then after my 5 seconds research on google, I figured out that it was this book about vampires. VAMPIRES??? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? WHY IS IT SO DAM SPECIAL??? Then I also found out that they even made a movie out of it…

So what questioned me was, what does this retarded book has to do anything with such legendary song “supermassive black hole”? Well the research didn’t take me that long either. On youtube, when I just even simply typed “supermassive black hole” not “supermassive black hole TWILIGHT”, twilight came up as the 1st result (wow…)

So guess what I figured out. The song was the soundtrack for this “baseball scene” where vampires have a major baseball match -_-…. yeah… how pathetic is that….

I wanted to know what makes twilight so appealing to teenage girls. So I read some parts of the book. In the book, there is this vampire teenage boy named Edward Cullen. He is described to be the perfect guy that all the girls want. He is sexy, strong, handsome, etc. However, he does not care about girls. No girls are good for him. Then, this girl named bella comes to the school and Edward gives her everything by loving her.

Anyways what I’m trying to point out is. Stop living in fiction life. Step out of it. Live in the reality. You’ll never be able to live with Edward Cullen. So give up. Edward Cullen DOES NOT EXIST… so please do me a favor. Live in the reality.

Some of the Arctic Monkeys’ songs were played live in numerous concerts like the song “crying lightening”. Apparently, their new album is going to be different their Indie style. There’s a rumour that it is going to be more like classical rock. (I am not sure if this will be good or not. I really like their “Whatever people say I’m that’s what I’m not.” The meaning of the album “Humbug” means a person who is nothing like the person that they say they are, so basically this album is kind of like a sequel to “whatever people say i am…” It is going to be interesting.

If you go to www.muse.mu, you will be able to see all the “the resistance” tour dates. But unfortunately, they r all in europe but I am willing to visit Europe JUST to go to Muse’s concert.

Girl with a pearl earring is a masterpiece, painted by a famous painter, named Johannes Vermeer. Not only this painting was gorgeously painted, but it had a deep story behind it. This painting is a paint of a girl named Griet. She was one of the Vermeer’s maid and Vermeer painted the exact look of her. “I will paint you as I first saw you, Griet, Just you.” I learned a lot of valuable matters from this novel. I learned about artist’s life, maid’s life, and how the masterpiece is created.

I learned a lot about artist’s life after reading this novel. Johannes Vermeer is a married Dutch Baroque painter from the 17^th century. Sometimes his life could be flamboyant, while sometimes, his life could be miserable. The artist’s life in the novel, was portrayed to be a very luminous when it shows Vermeer, painting his masterpiece with all of his emotions. Vermeer’s life was described to be miserable, when the novel illustrates his family and his financial problems. His wife, Catherine Vermeer, does not understand Vermeer’s paint at all. In fact, she only cares about the money that the paint is going to make. Vermeer faces numerous financial problems. As a painter, it is a tough to maintain a good balance financially. They need to buy right materials and have right environments in order to create the masterpiece. His paint was later known as a masterpiece, but not at his time.

Not only I learned about the artist’s life, but I also learned about maid’s life during the 17^th century. Their life was described as dreadfully challanging. The maid in this novel, who is also the main character, is Griet. His dad was a tile painter, but he is now blind due to some accident. Her family is extremely poor. Griet had to work in order to help her family financially. Once she becames the maid of Vermeer’s household, she works all the time. She does all the laundry, cooks food for her master, and she even blends the paint for her master. Working as Vermeer’s maid was also extremely challenging for Griet because while she was cleaning Vermeer’s room, she had to leave it the way it was, since it would effect the painting.

Masterpiece isn’t just created. It is created when the artist puts every detail and every work into it with all of his or her emotion. This novel showed me what it takes in order to create a masterpiece. Vermeer is portrayed to be an exceptional painter. Not noly he blended his own painting, but he even used special tools like Camera to make his painter even more detailed. All the lights, colours, and even the detailness of the paint was carefully examined by Vermeer to create his masterpiece, “Girl With a Pearl Earring” The person in the paint is his own maid, Griet. Her beauty was illustrated exceptionally. This is why this painting became such a masterpiece.

Who would have known that the story behind such painting could have all these wonderful stories behind it? This novel showed about every details of the luminousity and sadness of Vermeer’s life, maid’s challenging life, and about how his extraordinary masterpiece was created.
