Violence behaviour

It seems to me that guys are born to behave in a violent way and we are learnt to behave in such way. Why? Because from the moment we are born, we are learned to act violent.

Let’s picture a baby for an example. What do we see? We usually picture a peacefully sleeping baby, or peacefully crawling around the floor. But in reality, if you look at a baby, they are always trying to put everything in their mouth. They don’t know how other person feels and all they do is destroying everything around them. We can’t scold the baby because it is “unethical” and all they will do is cry as their form of response.

When that baby is on the stage of being able to talk, that is when the trouble starts. At that age, most babies are in suitable age of playing with toys. (usually toys are only allowed for babies that are at least 4 years old) Toys that those babies usually play with are most likely to be a toy car or even a toy robot. When they play with these toys, all they do is to re-enact a scene where destruction takes place

By the time the baby becomes a kid, it becomes contact with even more violence. It starts to watch cartoons on tv. However the cartoon is not usually educational. Instead, it is usually about a hero destroying or eradicating the villains to gain its fame. Through cartoons, kids believe that violence is something that is praised upon by the society.

When the kid reaches adolescence, new forms of media approaches them. This new media is music videos. On today’s modern music video, gang violence, mindless sex, and other forms of explicit content are viewed without hesitation. Due to these media, teenagers begin to believe more that violence is something that will make their reputation higher.

In the society like this, it seems like going against the beauty of violence is hard to do. We never realize that media is controlling not just the adults, but kids too. The media will never stop. However we can reduce the damage done by the media if the parents educate their kids about the media

Perfect Government.

August 20, 2010 at 4:49 am (Uncategorized)

Year after year, it has been our goal to pursue a perfect government system, yet we were never able to find one. At the moment, Canada has different parties with different political opinions. 5 main parties are: Green party, NDP, Liberals, Conservatives, and Bloc Québécois. Of course, the real 3 parties that actually matters are NDP, Liberals, and Conservatives. NPP’s idea is to basically equalize people’s wealth, trying to reduce the difference between the rich and the poor. They also want to collect more tax in order to distribute them the way they want to. Also they really want to lower the carbon emission. Liberals are less tax collecting, but they still want to use the tax money on other stuff they want, such as health care and education. Conservatives however, wants to lower the tax. They believe in the system that more you work, more you get. Some people oppose this. They are most likely to be a lower class. When the left wing takes control, right wing may look like a better system and when the right wing takes control, visa versa

My point is, every single party has a flaw. You can’t criticize on everything, because when there is a flaw, there will always be a benefit. We will never be able to find the perfect government system. However we can think and treat the current government system to be perfect.
